Are you a Support Worker with a passion for supporting individuals with complex needs? We’re looking for experienced people to work with one of our non verbal female clients on a 1-1 basis using Positive Behaviour Support to deliver care that is specific to the needs of the individual.

What does the role involve?

This could include anything from day-to-day activities like cooking, crafts and personal or domestic care, to shopping and day trips, seeing family and supporting goals and aspirations such as going to college or holidays.

What skills do I need?

Above all, we look for people who are friendly, patient, compassionate and honest. Continuity and trust are very important in the work that we do, so reliability is key. The role is focused on building relationships, creating opportunities, and encouraging people to achieve their goals.

We’re ideally looking for people with experience of supporting people with complex needs, positive behaviour support and experience of behaviour that can be defined as “challenging”.

To be successful in the role, you’ll need to have a strong personality, the resilience to support people through difficult times and a keen sense of humour. Being a Support Worker is not always the easiest job, but it is rewarding.
