About The Retreat
The retreat itself is an older property which has recently received a complete refurbishment in 2024 and is now home to 2 purpose-built luxury flats. This residential setting offers a warm and homely environment, with support for those who are working towards living independently.

We also have a self-contained cottage on the same site. The cottage is suitable for one person who requires 1-2-1 support. The cottage is a comfortable, homely environment with its own garden space.

Based in the heart of Walton on the Naze, we’re lucky enough to be surrounded by miles of sandy beaches, a pier complete with amusements and parks. There are also plenty of places to visit a cafe for something to eat or to have a walk around the shops. We love to support people to get out and about in the local area.
Who do we support at The Retreat?
We provide support for learning disabilities, mental health and complex needs who require residential care and support in the Essex area.
Crucially, those living in both the self-contained cottage and The Retreat have access to high-quality support that focuses on achieving goals and meeting their individual needs. In addition to our team of dedicated support workers, the people we support have access to a trained and PBS Practitioner who specialises in PBS training and support for our teams. We have strong relationships with a wider multidisciplinary team, ensuring that we can access high-quality speech and language therapists, Occupational Therapists, LD community nursing teams and psychiatrists depending on need.
