Who We Support

At Aldanat Care, we deliver support to adults with learning disabilities, autism, physical and sensory impairments, mental health and complex needs.

Autism

Aldanat Care offers support to people with autism in our supported living, residential, domiciliary and outreach services. We pride ourselves on providing individualised support designed to meet the needs of every individual we support. We provide care that ranges from 24-hour support to minimal hours of flexible support in the community.

Support is based on knowledge, experience and an understanding of autism – with all our support underpinned by Positive Behaviour Support (PBS). We focus on sensory needs, communication, structure and routine. We adapt environments and support with the view to reduce anxiety and unpredictability. Our aim is to build independence and confidence by supporting people to learn life skills and effective coping skills whilst providing an effective daily structure for the person.

Learning Disabilities

We support people with a variety of learning disabilities, ranging from mild learning disabilities to more profound and multiple disabilities. We also support people with physical and sensory impairments, communication needs, and people with complex health needs.

We work alongside the people we support, as well as their family members, friends, advocates, and other professionals to develop support plans that meet the person’s needs, include their aspirations and goals whilst enhancing their quality of life and enabling progression.

Physical Disabilities

Some of the people we support with physical disabilities have cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries, multiple sclerosis, spina bifida, and musculoskeletal injuries among others. Some people with physical disabilities have additional health requirements, making it vital that all care is tailored to each individual’s needs as no two people are the same.

Our skilled teams are trained and experienced in supporting those living with a range of complex needs, and our support plans continually evolve to meet the persons changing needs and abilities.

Mental Health Support Needs

Aldanat Care understands that having access to the right support is an essential part of overcoming mental health challenges. The support we provide varies depending on needs and can range from minimal support to 24hr support packages.

We support people with anxiety and panic disorders, depression and personality disorders as well as those who have additional mental health needs alongside their primary diagnosis. Our dedicated team has vast experience in supporting people to gain self-confidence, learn new skills and progress successfully to independence.
